Why It's Not a Fad

 

Your Gut ecosystem and microbes are responsible for 70% of the immune system, 90% of the brain’s serotonin and 50% of it’s dopamine production (happy hormones) as well as nutrient assimilation, hormone regulation, skin health, metabolism….. you get the point. This is why GUT HEALTH isn’t some fad diet or gimmicky concept but rather a modern day understanding of a frankly ancient knowledge of wellness. It’s been the foundation of Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic practices and even Hippocrates himself who stated “All disease begins in the gut.”

Why a Holistic Approach

 

I discovered that following a diet helped me eliminate symptoms, but for the long term I realized it wasn't enough. I realized that focusing on my mind and spirit as well as my body improved my gut health and allow more diversity in my diet and my life. I was no longer bound to food and rules, but able to determine what worked best for me and have the freedom to make those decisions. 

About Sherry Lipp

 Sherry is a Certified Holistic Gut Practitioner and author of HpppyGutForLife.com and the book Don't Skip Dessert: Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, and Sugar-Free Sweet Treats. She was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 1999 and following surgery has practiced a holistic approach to managing symptoms. Sherry has followed the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for over 20 years and in that time has developed an eating plan and lifestyle that has kept her happy and healthy. She loves to travel, write, read, and hike with her husband and dog.
